While the majority of our patients live in Florida, many of our patients come from other regions, and a few from other countries. We are conveniently located, not far from the Tampa Airport. It makes sense for some patients to come a long way because the resources we offer may not be available anywhere near where they live. We endeavor to accommodate long-distance patients by coordinating their visits so that everything that requires their physical presence at our center (physical exams, blood and allergy tests, etc.) can be concentrated into as few initial sessions as possible, sometimes comprising two or three consecutive days at our Center. To this end, we can help patients arrange convenient accommodations at nearby hotels in Florida. Some elect to stay with friends or relatives nearby. Then, when results have been compiled and patients are ready for their results visits, follow-up can be arranged by phone or e-mail. Patients may then sometimes be referred to practitioners in their area for on-the-ground follow-up therapy. In this way, long-distance patients can be treated and monitored for up to several years with infrequent need for repeat visits to Florida.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. That is to say, many patients obtain substantial or partial reimbursement of the fees they pay to the Center, depending on their insurance policies. However, we do not accept insurance “assignment”, and we do not file Medicare claims.
There are several reasons we no longer participate in medical insurance programs. Keying medical practice to insurance payments steers doctors to conventionally recognized, reimbursable procedures, to “mine” for insurance dollars. We believe that patients should be entitled to the highest standards of care, regardless of cost-influenced decisions made by insurance company bureaucrats. Additionally, while some progress is being made in recognition of complementary modalities, insurance companies and government programs like Medicare lag behind in recognition of such efficacious therapies as nutrition, chelation, and environmental medicine.
Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (also known as UVBI) therapy is a procedure in which the blood is exposed to light for therapeutic reasons. UVBI treatments support red blood cell oxygenation and a healthy immune system. This particular technology is the only system that provides ultraviolet light exposure for the blood, without removing any blood.
UVBI treatments were used throughout the 1940’s and 1950’s to treat medical conditions including pneumonia, tuberculosis and even cancer, however, the invention of antibiotics lead to a decline in the use of UVBI as a treatment option. Experience has shown UVBI treatments to have many benefits including destruction of fungal, viral and bacterial growth, enhanced immune system & ability to fight infection, improved ability to detoxify and inactivate or remove toxins.
Glutathione deficiency contributes to oxidative stress, which in turn influences the development of many diseases including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, liver disease, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, cancer, heart attack, stroke and diabetes. Glutathione fights off toxins and free radicals. It protects the body by capturing all the bad elements that make us sick and flushing them out.
Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP is blood plasma with concentrated platelets. The concentrated platelets found in PRP contain huge reservoirs of bioactive proteins, including growth factors that are vital to initiate and accelerate tissue repair and regeneration. These bioactive proteins initiate connective tissue healing: bone, tendon, and ligament regeneration and repair, promote development of new blood vessels, and stimulate the wound healing process.
To prepare a PRP, a small amount of blood is taken from the patient. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins and automatically produces the PRP. The entire process takes less than 15 minutes and increases the concentration of platelets and growth factors up to 500%. When PRP is injected into the damaged area it stimulates the tendon or ligament, causing mild inflammation that triggers the healing cascade. As a result, new collagen begins to develop. As this collagen matures it begins to shrink causing the tightening and strengthening of the tendons or ligaments of the damaged area.
Frequency specific pulsed electromagnetic (Fields) therapy (PEMT) are the most effective and cost-efficient option for the widest range of human disorders regardless of etiology.
PEMT therapy regulates the body’s functions and optimizes the body’s ability to heal itself. Low frequency PEMTs of even the weakest strengths pass right through the body, penetrating every cell, tissue, organ and even bone without being absorbed or altered.
As they pass through, they stimulate most of the electrical and chemical processes in the tissues. Therapeutic PEMTs are specifically designed to positively support cellular energy, resulting in better cellular health and function.
